Computer Confrere was established by Johan Jonker in 1999, providing computer sales, service and repairs for Randfontein and the surrounding West Rand area.

After serving in the South African Military in the  Parachute Battalion, Johan studied Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering at Vaal Triangle Technikon, receiving his NH Dip(Electrical Eng.). He then spent the next 13 years working as an instrumentation technician in the mining industry; programming controls loops, installing and maintaining electronic/instrumentation equipment, etc. 

Working with tech and I.T. was not just something he did in his career.  He spent much of his free time at home in his computer lab working on projects and learning the latest technologies and programming languages, earning his Microsoft MCSE Certificate, as well as numerous other trainings. 

In 1999 he decided to take his passion for technology and turn it into an enterprise to help local businesses and individuals in Randfontein solve their computer problems. 

When Johan isn’t working on computers, you can find him out taking nature or wedding photos, or on the road cycling with all his favorite people. Cycling is a passion that he not only loves himself, but loves to share with his family and anyone else who wants to head out on the road.  His faith and family are of upmost importance to him.
